11:56 To Go: Arizona-38 Gonzaga-49
UA with work to do but have held Zags scoreless for last 3:12 and are already in the bonus. #BearDown

@dvd It hurts when the announcers say, "Arizona is not a good shooting team, they still haven't made a 3 the entire game". Ouch!!

Why did Miller go into the season with only 10 scholarship players when there are 13 basketball scholarships available? Even with three players short we should still have 10 guys available, including a suitable backup PG.
Miller's recruiting has become kind of a mess after the 2014 class. More and more misses (Josh Jackson, TJ Leaf), risky targets (Terrance Ferguson, DeAndre Ayton) and still no self-recruited elite PG (TJ McConnell was a transfer, developed at Duquesne).
Alkins hits UA's first shot from deep as he has 12 points. Ristic with 12 points, 7 rebounds. #BearDown

@SkyCoop AZ has had plenty of defensive stops to only come up empty on the offensive end...and the rest of the time Zags having their way on offense, yes.

Down four players and the rest of the team is trying to compensate. Practice may be long but you don't want to bang up your players. So they have to learn during the game.

Without an outside shooter, AZ is gonna see zones all year

What is staggering is how ugly these gradient uniforms are, well at least we will match the awful UA football program now. Byrne needs to think twice about what the kids will thinknare cool. These uniforms are anything but.

I'm not making excuses. I'm recognizing they are in a really tough situation in this game. Plus Gonzaga is out for revenge. That has to count for at least 6 points.

6:45 To Go and you hit your first 3 of the game...not gonna win many games like that. Just one of those days.
by Mic12/4/2016 12:17:58 AM
@Rx3 And that's the problem. AZ passes the ball 6-8 times around the top of the zone without even trying to drive or pass the ball to the middle. They have NO zone offense.

Byrne literally burning down the UA athletic program.
by Tonto12/4/2016 12:18:09 AM
AND, I would be happy if AZ pulls this out!!

If Trier wasn't able to go they shouldn't have let him travel and give fans hope. That's just low rent.
by OKD12/4/2016 12:42:38 AM
Are they playing in the Tic Tacs classic? The officiating has been painful.
by Borneo12/4/2016 12:42:39 AM
Alkins is such a quiet scorer. I thought he only had 2 buckets. 14 pts!!!!
by Cats Fangirl12/4/2016 12:42:41 AM
@CatsFangirl AZ passes the ball 6-8 times around the top of the zone without even trying to drive or pass the ball to the middle. Over and over again, we're eating up the clock and have none to waste.

@NozzleElbow When an coach makes $5 million a year, the roster management is on him. Even with Dylan Smith and Talbot Denny he hasn't used all 13 scholarships.
And how can he have a redshirt on a thin roster, while also relying on a player who went into the season with two consecutive ACL tears in both knees (Ray Smith)?
Planning with Ray Smith as an everyday starter was beyond irresponsible. The 76ers are playing Joel Embiid only every other game because he missed two years of basketball. And Smith's injury was way more serious than Embiid's back and foot issues.
No matter how you slice it, Miller owns these chaotic rosters of the last two seasons. And we haven't even gotten to his poor in-game coaching and player development yet.
