As I have said, as an undergrad and law school alum, I have given plenty to Athletics. It's not about donors it's about expectations. The Basketball program is always top notch. The baseball program is a nationally recognized. Why can't football be good?
How do you back a Coach, who in his fifth year, has watched the degradation of his program, to the point the team will go 2-10? You don't, Byrne is going to hire someone new, he will deny it in public, but it's over for RIchRod.
"We didn't have our starting quarterback last week, and we won,'' Graham said. "That's the game of football. The game of football mirrors life. You get knocked down. You're going to have injuries. Sometimes you don't have people and that's when you have people step up. That's what I love about the team concept of football."
My question for the past few weeks is really starting to look like it is answered. The question was Are We that bad? Too many 3 and outs. Our secondary is not good. Everything else? Blah! Don't know where to go with this.
Sure you can blame the fans. Arizona historically is a seven win team no matter what coach is there. Consistent? The consistency is the low-giving fan base who pulls plugs too quickly. Evidence: this fan chat from folks who are not at a home game. (I am in sandiego).
